More Digital Artwork

Here are a few of the things I have been doing with the digital paintings I have been painting lately. I have never really liked painting flowers because they hardly ever turn out like I intend them to. Using the Procreate program makes it easier though, because you can erase your mistakes as many times as you need to without tearing up or reworking your paper.

These flowers have turned into some very nice note cards. I am also offering them as digital downloads for printable artwork in two sizes, 4 x 6 and 5 x 7. With these, you can have fresh flowers all year round! They are for sale in my shop and in my Etsy shop.

Digital Painting Time Lapse Video

I have been using Procreate for creating digital paintings, and I am having a ball! One of the cool features of Procreate is that it records all brushstrokes into a video. I am posting one of those videos here to let you see the process of creating my painting of daffodils in a blue vase.

In the video, you will notice that before I added the “regular” colors of the flowers and the rest of the painting, I did an underpainting of other colors. The reason for this is to allow some of these colors to show through in the final painting to add more dimension and glow.

I hope you enjoy this little video!
